This Deepavali, Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur

From 28 October to 3 November, Mosaic restaurant will present an exclusive Deepavali buffet, featuring 20 expertly crafted dishes that draw inspiration from the vibrant flavors of India and Malaysia, offering guests a sophisticated yet authentic dining Experience. Curated by Chef Harun, the in-house expert on Indian cuisine and the Sous Chef of Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, this menu has been designed to honor both the diversity of Indian cuisine and the unique tastes of Malaysian fare. Chef Harun’s extensive expertise and passion for local and international flavors make this a dining experience not to be missed. From fragrant biryanis and bold curries to reimagined regional delicacies, each dish tells a story of cultural fusion while remaining true to its roots.
The buffet’s thoughtful selection offers something for everyone, from seasoned gourmands to curious explorers of new flavors. With a menu that transitions seamlessly between the rich, warming spices of India and the fresh, aromatic notes of Malaysia, the dining experience promises to be both indulgent and memorable.

- Boston Lobster Balchao: A Goan-inspired dish combining spicy, tangy flavors of Balchao with the luxurious Boston lobster.
- Lamb Shank Nahari: Mughal-style slow-cooked lamb, rich in aromatic spices, served as a traditional breakfast stew.
- Ajwani Fish Tikka Chaat: A fusion of grilled fish marinated in carom seeds with the tangy, spicy flavors of Indian chaat.
- Champaran Ghost: A traditional Bihari dish of slow-cooked mutton in a sealed pot, infused with rustic spices and mustard oil.
- Surmai Alleppy: Coastal Kerala’s Kingfish curry with a coconut milk base, tangy raw mango, and aromatic spices.

This exclusive buffet will be available for lunch and dinner during the week of Deepavali, making it a perfect setting for celebrating with family, friends, or colleagues. The buffet is available from 28 October to 3 November only and is priced at RM245.
